We have arrived! We took off this morning from wine country (Virgil Ont.)...thanks to our hosts Jake and Marg Janzen and also to Harry and Lucy Huebert (and thanks for the bag lunch Lucy, it was great!)We felt very at home in Ontario, it was gorgeous there.
Anyway, we took off this morning early and flew 4 hours to Thunder Bay Ont, and hung out at the airport for a few hours to let the weather clear up a bit, we even took naps, we're so tired! Then we took off through the clouds and flew another 2 and a half hours to Winnipeg. They were both very good flights, a little bumpy at times, but nothing we can't handle. We're used to it now.
Now we're at our good friends' place, Al and Sue Enns (our former pastor from King Road) and we're just going to relax tonight, we're going to go hot tubbing, which will be fabulous. We will stay here in Winnipeg until Saturday when we will fly home to Abbotsford. Doris and Lori are going to visit some Bible School friends here as well.
Thanks for your prayers, they were well received and we appreciate them so much, more than you know!
'Til Saturday....

Hi Guys,
Well done - you are getting very close to home, now. We've really enjoyed sharing in your experiences and adventures and it's been fun checking your progress on a daily basis.
Bon Voyage for the last stretch. I hope they remember to roll out the red carpet at YXX and that the paparazzi will be waiting as they always want to get pics of celebrities which is what the three of you are now.
Good Luck.

Too funny about the birds in the last post!! We were even taking about how dangerous birds can be to a plane... It's good to hear that you are in Canada and still safe/doing good. Have a great time in Winnipeg, bet the weather is a lot different from here... mmmmmm...cold weather....must be nice:)

Congratulations on another leg of your journey, I lived in Winnipeg for 2 years when I first arrived in Canada, it is a wonderful city and the market down at the river off Main is a great place to explore.
Weather is supposed to be clearing over the Rockies as of tomorrow, so hope your flight home is a smooth one. Happy Landings
Dear friends,
It was so good to read about your safe wheels down arrival. An answer to prayer for sure. Kinda miss you guys already, but life must go on. Ruth and I will have good and fond memories of Wednesday May 23, 07.
That bird nest on top of the planes engine keeps going thru my mind. In my book, it was with certainty divine intervention that it was found the way it was found. Wow!
Miracles happen all the time, Praise God?
May all of you be a real blessing, like you are to us, to the people you meet and blessings will come back to you "big time". I know, I've been there.
We will continue to pray for a safe flight home where your loved ones will be waiting, with open arms and big hugs and kisses.
What a sight that will be.
Would love to the camera man there.
Now I wish you three and your loving family and friends that God will shower you with His richest blessings.
Big hugs,
Hank and Ruth

Hey! I tried to leave a comment and it didn't work. Oh well, I'll try again. Wow! You guys are almost home! You'll have to tell me all about your trip and show me the slide show when you get back :) I hope you have a good flight the rest of the way and I will talk to you soon. PS It may interest you to know that Milsean now has gelato :) I mentioned this in my previous comment, but I don't think it worked.
See you soon!

Good morning flying eagles!
Welcome to Winterpeg! Probably you're glad your there now, 7 months before Christmas than at Christmas at Portage and Main.
Have a great visit in Winnipeg.
When do you think that you'll arrive in Abbotsford on Saturday? I hope to be hiking again this Saturday, so I may not be in Abby when you arrive. Anyway I wish you a good flight and an advanced welcome home.
Prayerfully,
Laurie V.
Hello happy flyers!
I have been reading your blog after seeing the story in our local Abby paper. My husband just did a cross Canada (London to Abby) flight in his new Diamond 40XL and he encountered all sorts of fun places, stories and of course weather!! All the best as you arrive back at home, tired but with many many stories!!
