we're in canada!!! (with some drama of course)

We took off this morning from west Palm Beach, Florida and flew 4 hours to Charlotte, North Carolina where we fueled up, then we flew another 4 hours or so to St. Catharine's Ontario. It was a little bit of a rough flight, with turbulence and some problems with the landing gear. Our warning light came on and said that our gear was unsafe. That made us a little worried and made the ENTIRE flight not enjoyable at all. St. Cath airport came to the rescue and made sure there was nothing wrong. We did a few fly by's to make sure, and long story short, we landed safely!!! Thanks to the emergency workers at the airport, we appreciate it, more than we can say!!

our "rescuers" at the st. cath airport, thanks again!!!!

Hallo, Erich, Doris and Lori!
Praise God for the safe flight and safe landing in St. Catherines!
Now it seems although you are almost at home - knowing that you have to fly another 4.000 km at least; but you are now in Canada!
Say hi to our relatives and friends there. - Arno and I went today to Capilano Suspension Bridge to meet Helmut. He was already a few days in Vancouver driving students from one place to another. From Capilano he had to drive them to Grouse Mountain and then to shopping in Vancouver. Tomorrow he drives them back to Alberta. - Helmut enjoys his job very much.
All the best and have a good time in Ontario and a safe flight home.

Hi Guys,
It's amazing that you have come so far and are back on Canadian soil.
It sounds like the flight to St Catherine's was a stressful one but everything worked out in the end.
All the best for the last leg/legs.

Drama in Canadian skies, however now safely on home soil. Well done, I am sure that was a bit stressful, but so glad you were in Cdn airspace and got some good help from St Catherines airport staff.

Enjoy these last few days of your amazing adventure. Happy Victoria Day weekend!

Dear friends,
Sure glad you are back on Canadian soil and that you landed in St Catharines safely. But we all prayed for your safety and protection didn't we? So the Lord answered our prayers and everything came out just fine, even though it was stressful, right?
Enjoy your visits with friends and relatives and have good time too.
I hope there is nothing seriously wrong with the plane.
We pray, as you continue your journey, that the Lord continue to protect you in your travels towards home.
We did know what time you were arriving so we were not there but you probably got an arousing welcome anyway.
God bless richly,
Hank and Ruth Goertz
10-4 over and out.

doris and family,
you have come so far, its ironic to have engine trouble so close to home...but then, God knows what we can handle. praying for grace, and more grace to "coast" home, let Jesus carry you, praying lots, carolyn and the rempels
