- Hello, and welcome! This is a blog about our trip to Brazil in our dad's plane, a Piper Cherokee Arrow. Our dad was born and raised in Brazil and it has been his dream to fly down there on his own from Canada. Good morning Penner Clan.
Sounds like you're making a wise and good decision to wait for better weather.
This morning I drove a friend to the Abbotsford Airport. He's going on Westjet this morning to visit his daughter, son-in-law and their children in Winnipeg.
I don't know that I'll hike today bacause it's overcast with a 30% chance of rain. Also, when I reach the higher elevations I probably wooundn't be able to see much. May have to wait for a better day.

Hi, I was thinking about the weather and your trip, glad you have postponed it, definite improvement in the forecast for sunny skies early next week.

Congratulations to all of you on such a fantastic adventure! What a story! Al sent us a link to the article in the Abbotsford newspaper so we got a chance to see that as well! Everyone is so proud of you and so thrilled for this exciting opportunity you were given!
I hope the next leg home is uneventful and I imagine you'll have tears in your eyes as you land at YXX!! (My husband did his commercial license at Coastal Pacific and I've landed many times in YXX with him! :) ) As our 4 year old friend tells all pilots, "Keep the blue side up!" Good luck! Be safe!!
