We made it! We are half way with our big Brazil trip! We took off this morning from Blumenau about 9 am, and flew 3 hours and 45 minutes to Bage. But first we circled around Colonia Nova, about 5 times, and got their attention, then flew to Bage to land. Walter Wall and Helmuth Boschmann picked us up from the airport and drove the half hour to Colonia Nova. We are now all settled in at David and Ingrit Martens and Tante Marichen...
We´d like to thank you all so much for praying for us and sending your messages, they are much appreciated! Today´s flight went very well, very smooth and super clear skies, exactly what we wanted, especially when we were buzzing 300 feet over Colonia Nova...that was fun.
Thanks again, we will stay here for about a week, and then we plan to fly on to Iguacu...
Stay tuned...thanks again, don´t forget to come back!

THE EAGLE HAS LANDED!!!!!!!!
Eric, you're not just another pretty face!! Don't know what to say, don't want your head to swell. You've got to get into that cockpit and fly home.
But thank you Father and God Almighty for safety and joy! How sweet it is........
I finally looked up Bage on the map and it's close to Uruguay, so why don't you fly there? And while you're there why not across the river,Rio de la Plata, to Buenos Aires? Bragging rights, you know!
Trouble with that is that you won't have any friends when you come back to YXX.
I'd love to come along on your next trip, I'll kick the tires, unfold the next map and tell you how good your landings are!
Eric and Girls, I'm proud of you!! Fine job! Godbless, love Lisa and Sieg.
Congratulations!
You made it. Have a wonderful time in Bage. It is nice to follow your flight safe from at home. I admire you guys for taking on such an adventure. God bless.

Wow! You made it! ...a long ways from Abbotsford! I bet Colonia Nova never looked so good. One pilot, 2 'passengers', 2 wings, one engine to cover a distance that seems to go on forever. Congratulations! Thank you Lord for protection. I'm glad you 'buzzed' over the old home. You deserve to take some 'victory laps' in fact when you landed a band should have played the national hymns of Brasil and also 'Oh Canada' because you brought honor to both. Drink from the Jaguarao, eat the fruit of the land, take a deep breath of fresh 'minuano' air, listen to the bem-te-vi, or the joao-de-barro, or the cardeal, get your feet dirty - you're home. Enjoy friends and relatives, church and so much more.
I'm sure you left bread crumbs so the return flight should be a cake walk.
I'm enjoying this vicareously from the comfort of my home.
The 'eagle' has landed -- mission accomplished.
I love my old home --- Colonia Nova.

I can,t whait to see some pictures.
Take care Rudy & Irene J.
Well, well, you made it!Congratulation! It's so interresting to follow you.We feel like we're getting a piggyback ride. You do the work and we're enjoying it.On the day you arrived in Col. Nova,we phoned my brother Hermann and he said he'd seen a small plane flying over his hause a few times at the noon hour and he knew "This must be Erich and his clan" so we called your wife and toled her. This is so exiting! We also want you to know that we're praying for you every day.Enjoy your time in Col. Nova!
Hallo, Ihr drei Penners, bei den Martens!
Congratulations!!! Dreams do come through, right Erich?! We are glad and thankful with you. Lasst es Euch da gut gehen bei all unsern Lieben! Geniesst die Zeit. Picures, when you have a chance, PLEASE?! gruesst alle dort, Eure Marly+Ervin B.
Wish we were there with you! Erich, you'll need to invest in a larger plane to take all of us along next time 'round.... now with all your experience, don't be surprised if you have line-ups taking numbers for the next flight! Don't get any ideas about staying there-with all the fun there and all- oh, and the scenery (pictures please!!) You can come back to Canada and start a new business in "Tours to Col. Nova" for all of those wanting a exciting pilgrimage ...
May God continue to Bless you and Keep you safe! Enjoy your visit and say Halo from us. From Canada, the B. Martens Family

Congratulations again you adventurous flying crew!
Thanks for your prayers. I finished jury duty yesterday and sensed that God provided the needed wisdom for the jury to reach a just verdict.
Will continue to stay tuned ... in about a week when your flying part of the adventure continues.
Prayerfully,
Laurie V.
