We took off this morning from Belem, with some delays, they wouldn`t let us take off right away, but eventually we were off. We had a 3 and a half hour flight to araguacema, where we are staying with our cousin Frank Penner. We had a nice lunch and then we went on the river araguaia in a small boat and saw the sights. We will stay here for two days and then on Wednesday we will fly to Anapolis. It is good to have a break and not stay in a hotel....stay tuned!!! Thanks for the encouragement and comments, we appreciate them....
hopefully we will get some pictures up soon...

Felicito pelo sucesso da viagem, com precisão, chegando onde querem chegar... sei que o próximo destino é Anápolis, ...é uma belíssima cidade, já estive lá...é o centro da Aéronautica Militar do Brasil e bem próximo de Brasília.

Hello Erich, Doris, and Lori,
I received the email along with the web site and have been following your 'Marco Polo Adventure' with great interest and delight. Yes, I'm extremely happy that you get to fulfill your lifelong dream and fly to good 'ol Bage, RS. WOW. Remember to take a look at the student/'melico' home on Rua Hipolito Ribeiro, 279 where we all lived. I have fond memories of that experience. Continue your journey and enjoy the view. I'm turning green (as in the Brazilian flag) with envy. God bless and HAPPY CHURRASCO. Bruno Ekk

Hi! I'm a friend of Al and Robyn's...in Montreal! We've been following your progress too and I just want to say congratualtions on the trip of a LIFETIME!! I didn't realize you'd left already and I just read the whole trip in one sitting! It actually brought a tear to my eye! I think it's so fantastic that you are helping your Dad fulfill his own dream and that in turn you are creating a lifelong memory/adventure/dream of your own. In this day and age, I also think it's great that 2 girls are happy to spend time with their Dad and to partake in such a great accomplishment! Good for both of you! I'm envious of your travels, and I'll be checking in regularly! Good luck with everything! Jennilyn :)
Congratulations on the accomplishment of your life long dream, Erich. God has blessed you this far and we pray that He will protect you for the rest of you trip.
Henry
